The wedding of Amy and Sean

Amy and Sean were married at Pier 5 Hotel in the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. A gorgeous venue and a fantastic couple. After a few sprinkles, the weather cooperated and beautiful light streamed down on them as they said their vows in front of a back drop of seawater and skyline. They were so happy and relaxed that they both had time to joke with me by asking if my eleven year-old son was going to be my assistant, as he had accompanied us for their engagement photos. And actually, if he had, I think they would have been fine with it!

My assistant Nancy and I had a great day with the newlyweds, their family and friends. Thank you Amy and Sean for inviting us to be a part of your day.

The "first look". The first time the two had seen each other in their wedding attire, before the wedding.

Recessing in a flurry of flower petals.
What a great place for photos, a lighthouse right next to the hotel!

The first dance as husband and wife. Are they happy or what!

I loved the fun side of these two!

This is a favorite of mine.

A night to remember!

Holiday Special Photo Sessions

I’d like to send you an invitation to three special upcoming photo events with very special holiday pricing. Any one of these sessions can take the stress out of your holiday gift giving by creating a one of a kind, stunning custom made family portrait to give as cards or gifts and have fun doing it. The only worry you’ll have is how to top this year’s gift, next year! Choose the session that best suits your family. By popular demand, “Sofa Sessions” is back. This time we will be photographing in the beautiful Surreybrooke nursery in Middletown on October 22. This session will sell out fast! Using the beautifully landscaped grounds of Surreybrooke, we’ll create the most unique family portrait you own. http://www.surreybrooke.com/
For the 4th year, we’ll be offering an outdoor session called Pictures in the Pines on November 19th at South Mountain Tree Plantation in Boonsboro. Pictures in the Pines, in Boonsboro, highlights the natural beauty of a Christmas tree farm and the candid feel of the outdoors.
Photos at the Fireplace on December 4th will feature the stunning stone fireplace at Thorpewood in Thurmont, framed by a festive 17- foot tall holiday tree, perfect for the more formal holiday group photo or your children’s wonder at the setting. These photos make fantastic holiday card images or treasured memories as holiday gifts. We may even have a visit from Santa!
All three events are from 10-3 by appointment only for the mini-session fee of $29.99. The proceeds from session fees from the Thorpewood location will be donated to Thorpewood, a non-profit whose mission is to serve at-risk youth and increase the likelihood of their success through long-term, outcome-based, customized academic support and personal development programs in partnership with their schools and youth organizations. To view more photos from each session use the search box at the right and type in the name of the session you are interested in. Sofa Sessions, Pictures in the Pines or Photos at the Fireplace. The wedding of Kelly and Brian

Love, love. love this photo in the pines hear the church!
Kelly and Brian managed to get married the only day that DIDN'T rain that week, but they were prepared! :)

The thing that struck me the most about Kelly and Brian was how insanely happy they are together. Their engagement session was full of laughter and their wedding was no different. Being blessed with the only day that didn't rain that week, they had a beautiful day. They were so at ease with each other and their calm assurance that this was absolutely the best day of their lives was reflected in the entire day.
I want to thank Kelly and Brian and Kelly's family, who I felt so much at home with, for inviting me to be a part of this special day.

Bryan's Senior Session

What a pleasure to photograph Bryan, class of 2012  for his senior portrait session. Under a heavily clouded sky,we had a great photo session in the few hours it didn't rain!
He loves playing guitar and so we photographed him doing what he loves. I joked I was photographing his album cover because the music sounded so beautiful to me!
Thanks to Bryan for being up for anything and thanks to Mom, Lynda for being my assistant for the lighting. It helped make some amazing images.
