Nicole and Adam

Mount St. Mary's in Emmitsburg was the site for the engagement session of Adam and Nicole and was especially meaningful because they both went to school there and will be married in the ornate chapel in September!

As with all couples, it took a few poses and places to feel comfortable and begin to relax with me stalking them with my giant lense! :) My favorite photos are always of laughter or tears through laughter and they definitely could make each other laugh!

Every couple has something special about them and something we can create that is completely unique to them. Adam and Nicole had been practicing a dance together and when I asked them to dance a little of it, we made one of my favorite photos of the day...romantic, mysterious, unique.

Can't wait to see the entire routine at the wedding!

The Engagement of Shannon and Matt

Shannon and Matt were a fantastic couple to photograph. They have ties to the D.C. area and wanted their engagement session around the memorials on the Mall. They also wanted to have "Harley" their dog in some of the photos. With Shannon's mother helping by keeping "Harley" in the areas dogs were allowed, we moved from place to place on the windy, chill Mall area and took some really fun photos. After I looked at the take, you'd never know that we had to work with the wind, so Shannon's hair wasn't flying and that "Harley" needed warm-up breaks. Shannon and Matt interacted so naturally, they made it easy to get good photos. And Matt, without a doubt is the best dipper I've seen in a while! They made it out to Pictures in the Pines as well and I was able to be there for their first Christmas together. I loved that! I'm really looking forward to the wedding!

Betsy and Rob engagment photos

This is my first blog...ever. So I decided to start with an engagment session with Betsy and Rob from Labor Day weekend at Greenbrier Park. We were to meet at the park at 4:30 and when we all got there, the park was closed! because it was too full! Wow, who would have guessed that. But with a little humor and finding the least populated areas of the park , we were able to get some fantastic images. I can't wait for the wedding!
